About
Heather DeLong is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. Born on the east coast of Canada, DeLong grew up obsessively listening to all types of music – 50s classics, AM rock, classic country-- in the car parked in the driveway of her family home. She started writing music and formed her first band, Tiger Beat, when she was twelve years old.
She wrote and recorded her first album, Hope Rides Alone, with her first band The Pokiok Falls in 2004 and later began playing and performing as Speller in 2008 upon returning from living and working in Shanghai. Speller's debut album Champ de Force, a mix of rock, indie pop, and quieter guitar-based songs, is set for release in October 2018. DeLong currently lives in Vancouver, BC.
